End of the Year wrap up for Gunroom.
Hi guys, it is now the end of the financial year and we will be implementing a bunch of changes as follows. The financial landscape has changed somewhat due to the mess left by the Major, and that included putting all Gunroom P/Ls EFTPOS payments into his own account, then “loaning” most of the money to Gunroom P/L before drawing it out as Directors Drawings. On top of that we have a “suspense account” with over $90,000 in it but to date unaccounted for in our bank balance.
This has resulted in Heather and I spending hundreds of hours sifting through invoices, dead ends, invoices, quotes used as invoices etc. In fairness I think I should have called in the Fraud squad immediately and wound up the company. Had I known it went this deep I would have. The Major also has 92 scopes at his house for ‘safe – keeping’ as we were short of room at the time. Now he refuses to return them so we have issued him an invoice for $27,000. Is this a Director acting in the best interests of the company, somehow I do not think so. If I am wrong please get back to me.
From July 1, 2020, all Kral PCPs imported will come in under Gunroom Australia as there are insufficient funds in Gunroom P/L. I will also be bringing in Air Arms and their TX150, the top of the range Air Arms PCP. Gunroom Australia will also be bringing in 2 other brands of PCPs for evaluation and review. So watch this space as you will be seeing some very new PCPs not yet seen in Australia.
Gunroom P/L (Pty Ltd that is…) will continue to trade until such time as I can wind it up and remove the Major.
Starting in July, Kurt Offen will be working on all the PCPs coming through our businesses, that is Gunroom P/L and Gunroom Australia. Kurt will of course be working for Gunroom Australia to add to the confusion.
As the Mark IV scopes have been withheld by the Major, we will not be importing or selling anymore of them except for those on quotes and the 1st Focal Plane Sentinal (5-30×56). I am currently negotiating a new line of 5 scopes that I feel will be accepted well by the air rifle community.
High Pressure PCP Compressors.
The current order of water cooled Mark IV Compressors and unbranded air cooled compressors is hopefully arriving at the end of July this year. As with the Mark IV Compressors, I also have to modify the air cooled units, so allow 10 days from arriving into store till when they will be shipped out to customers. Both compressors will be modified at the factories for the following shipment and come in under my own brand in future.
Talking of High Pressure Compressors, please NOTE that we ONLY warranty and work on High Pressure Compressors that we sell. I have had a number of E bay specials turn up here for repairs. Sorry, but we do NOT work on these compressors that have issues that have not been addressed by their factories, so you must go back to where you bought them.
Air Rifle Pellets.
I am completing a new order of JSB pellets that will include the new Hades in .177 and .25 calibres. JSB also have 3 more types of pellet that we will bring in and see just how they go. We shall also ensure better quantities of Air Arms Pellets.
H&N Pellets will continue as before as will RWS, Benjamin, QYS, Air Venturi and Air Arms. The stock levels we will keep will be based on past year to date sales. I will be trialling several brands of slugs in .22 and .25 for those of you who are looking for them.
Kral PCP Air Rifles.
Gunroom Australia will be marketing Kral air rifles as our main PCP, with Air Arms and Weihrauch as supporting rifles. As we are also bringing in 2 other PCP brands, I will wait until we have thoroughly reviewed them as to whether we will support them in sales going forward.
The 2 key reasons for supporting Kral and Air Arms is that they produce great guns but more importantly, both Kral and Air Arms give us EXCEPTIONAL backup service without delays or any bull. That is how we can support these models. As for Weihrauch, they were the first guns I stocked and Alcock & Pierce have been good to me in the past, through thick and thin with good service to boot, so I will support them too.
Other PCP Brands.
The following air rifle brands updated.
Daystate and Brocock.
A number of you have been asking whether we will be selling Daystate and Brocock in the future. Basically, I think not as I am having issues with parts and service from the UK branch. In my opinion, we do not get the support that we should do and I am told that the reason for this is: quote – “We sell more guns to the USA in one week than we sell to Australia in one year.. ” end quote.
For those of you who have purchased these air rifles from me I sincerely apologise for the lack of service, but I cannot service you if the UK branch does not service me in a timely fashion. I should not have to contact the owner of Daystate/Brocock to get spares after waiting for several months and numerous emails. There you have it guys, until something radical changes, I will not be selling them.
Sam Yang aka Seneca.
The Sam Yang and Eun Jin models marketed as Seneca in the USA will only be handled on a special order. Presently we have the 357 Recluse and 50 calibre Dragon Claw in stock. These are very slow to move hence the decision to only market them by special order.
Benjamin and Umarex.
Both these makes of PCP air rifles are very slow to move and so we will only bring them in on a special order after the current stocks are gone.
We are holding 9 x Umarex Gauntlet, 6 x Benjamin Armadas and 5 x Benjamin Marauders in .22 and .25 calibres.
Gunroom Australia will emerge from the rubble of Gunroom Pty Ltd with 3 PCP brands and a larger product support base that previous. With our next Kral order of 160 guns, together with 12 more from Air Arms and 12 others from 2 new suppliers, we will be well stocked. I will of course inherit 50% of the remaining rifle stock on Gunroom Pty ltd that will take us well over the current room we have.
So I look forward to the support of you air rifle enthusiasts that will enable me to continue to trade profitably and be able to support you in the process. Thank you for your past patronage.
